Deep Dives are end-game content too and I would assume those who are super dedicated are already amongst the couple thousand already playing consistently. Obviously this impending update is gonna get a lot of people back in the game, but those are people who already own DRG. And no offense to Bosco, but I think this game is far weaker when playing on your own where you can't divide any mining work and classes like Gunner and Engineer become far more tedious to play without your fellow miners' supplementary abilities. It can get really hard to get someone to join my Haz 4 games, sometimes anywhere from 20-40 minutes, no matter the mission type. However, Steamcharts says the current player count is only 750 in America at noon on a week day, and that's dividing everyone between difficulty levels. No doubt the core gameplay is solid and they plan to keep adding onto it, meaning I'd like to be playing it for a while.
It's surprising that the updates to this game so far have been consistently quality.
